How do I add a new controller?+
Navigate to Controllers in the sidebar, click 'Add Controller', and enter your OpenSprinkler device IP address or MAC. The system will auto-discover zones and pull the current schedule.
Can my customers see their own usage?+
Yes. Each customer gets access to a branded portal at /portal where they can view real-time zone status, water usage, approve schedule changes, and submit service requests.
Does NLI work with my existing controllers?+
NLI supports OpenSprinkler controllers out of the box and any controller that exposes a REST API via our developer API integration. Our custom ESP32-based hardware is coming soon.
How do smart home integrations work?+
NLI connects to Apple HomeKit (via HomeBridge), Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and IFTTT. You can control zones by voice, create automations, and receive status updates on your smart home devices.
Is there an API for custom integrations?+
Yes. Our full REST API supports CRUD operations on controllers, zones, schedules, and events. Visit /docs for interactive Swagger documentation and API key management.
What happens if a controller goes offline?+
NLI monitors controller connectivity in real time. When a controller goes offline, you receive an instant alert via the dashboard, email, and optional push notification. The system logs the event for historical tracking.
